i also recommend a kkasawai klr 650. it will handle just about any situation you put it in.i own one and i am only 5'9 . it is a very versatile bike that you can outfit any way you like. it is also dependable and pretty powerful. they have been basically unchanged for 20 years until 08. try to pick up a good used one that has been maintained well and you will love it. they have a tall seat height but for street and dirt roads once you get going you are fine.
